German actress, former model and our all round girl crush, Diane Kruger, never puts a fashion foot wrong be it a red carpet appearance, attending a fashion show or simply running errands we can always rely on Diane to have us cooing over her ensembles. Here a simple sky blue cotton shirt-dress gets amped up with printed t-bar courts, a scarlet satchel and a nonchalantly thrown on black jacket. Proving that even basics can look super special with a little clever accessorising and know how. Both dresses available at Paris Texas vintage. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172230896628?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649

to be on your own with no direction home like a complete unknown like a rolling stone. This post is about one of my favourite things, getting lost on the road somewhere in this amazing country a companies by a very cool soundtrack just like the one above. Both give inspiration and therapy to all of my senses. For many years I have kept coming back to the Usa and keeping it on the back burner for the day I could return for good. I did not expect the Usa to reach Into my chest, grab hold of my heart and not let go, but that's exactly what It did some 22 years ago. Stepping into this technicolour dream of a place knocks the grey skies of the UK right out of my head and if I could just easily bring my two furry babies my raison 'd' etre with me I know I would never leave. Driving around this amazing country I find almost no escape from the "more is more" capatalism that it thrives on. Nor am I looking for one. Overhead neon signs as far as the eye can see and beyond. Six storey high buildings fill my view, but for anyone who has travelled the Usa the beauty lies in that you have 50 states to choose from mountains to beaches and vast open spaces.
welcome to America! What's your dream? Time to embark upon the road trip. A time where I worry less about changing myself and more about changing my view, let's go there - literally. Time to explore new territory places that alter my mood and free my mind and re-route my life... This post is all about Sunshine, smiles, silliness and encapsulates my hopes and dreams.
😎❤ All clothing from Paris Texas vintage. Shoes and sunglasses are vintage Chanel. How, funny how fickle is fashion? If you were to ask me a few months ago the era I was most likely to be wearing at the moment, my answer would have been 90's grunge girl. But seasons come and go, a few issues of vogue magazine later, you see a funky 70's vibe and before you know it, you're dreaming of hippie camper vans, bronzed skin and little cheesecloth tops and vintage t-shirts with cut off denims. In my defense, Its not totally out of character of me. Iv'e always had a soft spot for the 70's girl. Jane Birkin and Farrah fawcett are among my favorite style icons of that era. So in a world where fashion moves so fast, the "look" of the season is no longer required. So maybe i'm not so fashion fickle after all? Maybe i'm just choosing something new to love... All clothing is from Paris Texas vintage. Sunglasses are from Prada vintage
Some long for spring so they can see the flowers grow and lambs being born. I long for spring so I can saunter about in gorgeous vintage dresses. You'd probably never tell by the way I dress now, but growing up I was a serious tomboy. I don't think I ever owned a dress never mind one in shades of lemon with floral patterns! It was always jeans and trainers and when all the girls run out to buy spray on satin trousers and pink ladies bomber jackets (Grease is the word) I pleaded with my mum to buy me a leather biker jacket so I could paint the T-Birds on the back.
Fast forward and the contents of my wardrobe have slowly evolved to floral dresses and pretty blouses. one thing it's taught me is to never say never when it comes to style its good to experiment. There were once days I said I'd never wear a dress now I can't live without them... Dress is from Paris Texas vintage, sunglasses Dolce & Gabbana, Crystal and paste diamond bracelet from Selfridges london Horseshoe bend Utah There is something about a road trip that appeals to me constantly, you know when you think about packing it all in, and just getting in mt RV and driving around aimlessly is about as exciting as it gets for me. There's no point in planning anything as it's always the spontaneous moments that give me the greatest pleasure. Meeting and chatting to people you will never see again, sleeping in places that are too dark to see on arrival then waking up to the amazing beauty and a place you have never seen before. Then there is, of course, dipping your toes into the sand and living in cut-down denim shorts no fleece required. Now I know there may be more important things going on in the world but the point is it's a nice pause, from all that and I'm planning on making my pauses for longer...
