For a simple, but oh-so -effective, dress that will look just as sexy as it does scary, try a vampy look. Start with either a simple black body con dress or why not go for one of our gorgeous black gowns with magnificent structure and fitted bodices.

She may have been right, too much cleavage leaves little to the imagination. It's kinda like having dessert before you have even touched the appetizer. In my opinion it tries too hard, you want just a small dose to fire up the imagination of the beholder, make him desperate to find out what comes next and keep it classy! So the golden rule here is less is definitely more!

Here is my list of classic, classy and alluring items that, if you don't already have, you should add to you wardrobe essentials.

The white shirt. It's iconic it's timeless. This can be worn done up to the neck with black bow for a classic but innocent look, or you can wear one or two buttons undone with just a hint of breast allowed for show, just to wet his appetite.

A silk scarf. It has more than one function. First it brightens up a dark colored outfit, it can be used for a bad hair day, as a cover-up if it rains, and just in case you take a random ride in a gentleman's  convertible sports car, wear over your head like Grace Kelly

Basic over-sized sunglasses. Every day even if its raining, your reason: it's too bright out, a hangover, your lover has just dumped you, or a desire to just be fucking mysterious, whatever!

I can't believe how the temperatures have dropped this last week in Wales! Just 11 days ago I arrived home from my buying trip in the USA, and the weather here was glorious, so much so that I was still running around in bare legs. This week however it felt like it was freezing already! But I must say for those of you that are new to my blog, and don't know me yet, I just love Autumn and Winter from a fashion state of mind. I get really excited about all the layers I can wear. You can have so much fun concocting outfit combinations, just be sure to pick your pieces carefully so you don't end up looking like some sartorially inspired mad scientist.

Here is my guide to layering:
The key to being warm but not bulking up starts with innerwear. You will need the right pair of tights and an under-the-sweater base layer in the thinnest merino you can, thin fabric really keeps the warmth in.

Cashmere and merino is the softest and warmest kind of wool, and are always preferable to cotton ones, sweatshirts and hoodies are also great if they are fleece lined. Throw any of these over a pretty summer dress or pair with a mini skirt and tights.

Faux fur coats and jackets provide warmth,  a touch of luxury, and an instant injection of cool! and for all you rock chicks a leather biker jacket will keep you toasty if you add a thin merino base layer inner jacket available from all good mountaineer shops like Blacks. I use one under all my spring jackets and it never shows and definitely does the trick.

 

There are are few wardrobe items that to me just make life easier. Like a grey cashmere sweater, a crisp white shirt, and my good ole trusty vintage Levi denim shorts. They are an all year round wardrobe staple in my opinion, and hey, if they are good enough for Alexa Chung...

Now since we're still in-between seasons, and thanks to the amazing weather we keep having here in Wales, I am indulging in one of my favourite things to wear: vintage denim shorts. 

If you thought finding the perfect pair would be easy, your soooo wrong! It's not for the faint hearted and definitely not for the quick shopper, buying these babies takes patience and time and a loyal and honest BFF. The length, rise, and wash will determine how they will look when on.

So chick I'm going to show you three different ways I like to wear them, so you and your Levi's can live happily ever after together..

Look 1: Keep to a lighter wash denim for a summer casual look.  Add vintage tee's and trainers.

Look 2: Choose a darker wash denim like Miss Chung for after dark and team them with a classic blazer and blouse. This look is understated sexy and a great way to get the whole 'done, but undone' thing going on.

Look 3:  For your winter look choose either light or dark wash denim here and add opaques  or sheer pattern tights. Now Just add biker jacket and boots if your feelin like a rock chick or Doc Martens  and fishnets if you wanna do the whole grunge thing.

Hello gal's, having just arrived back from my buying trip in the USA I was expecting to find near freezing temperatures with grey skies here in wales, but for those of you that are living this side of the pond, in GMT, you will know that it is not the case! Beautiful full blue skies with temperatures in the low 60's it's more like early fall in the Hampton's.

Summer in Wales raced by faster than you could say, "are pool slides still ok to wear in public?" So this season I decided to once again go overseas bouncing between  coast to coast, I'm always on the prowl for the best new places, things, and obviously vintage clothing. Here in Savahnna Georgia I found a very cool little shop called The Future where two lovely girls helped me pick out an array of gorgeous things from 50's skirts to classic shift dresses and cool vintage T- shirts all placed in a huge fitting room with sumptuous  sofa perfect for my tired lover, who came along to help me shop and take photos.
Next stop was a two storey vintage warehouse called civvies this place was rammed with vintage and Retro including $2 buckets overflowing with clothes, bags, and shoes. Here I purchased a lovely little 60's twiggy style dress and some silver Doc Martens. I must say it is almost impossible to shop just for Paris Texas Vintage because there is always going to be something you just have to have, and if you are anything like me I know that each time I cross the threshold of a shop, amnesia sets in and everything  I own on my rails at home doesn't exist, hence why I own 50 grey sweaters that I can only tell apart by looking at the labels.
So girls, shopping to me is like a contact sport like football, we enjoy the noisy crowds, and the danger of being trampled to death, and the ecstacy of the purchase.
